Meet Marian Pontz
Marian has been in the classroom since she was 5-years-old — first as a student, then as an educator. Before becoming a teacher, she worked with Junior Achievement, helping business leaders design lessons, connect with kids, and have an impact on their communities—a job she loved and has never forgotten. She earned a Master’s in Education from Eastern Mennonite University. For the last decade, Marian has been mentoring student teachers, as well, on the beginning of their professional journeys. Now, after 36 years in public education, she is working as a professor of education at the university-level.
